Students under the age of 18 need a work permit to be able to hold a job. They do not need a work permit to seek employment, only once hired. Most employers will have blank work permits available, but they can also be downloaded from the state of Michigan.

For students aged 16 or 17, the appropriate work permit can be found here:

Students must fully fill out and sign section I of the work permit. Employers must fully fill out and sign Section II of the work permit. Once those sections are complete, contact the Huron Main Office Professional at hur_op@aaps.k12.mi.us for the next steps to fill out and sign section III.
