Greetings!

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan where I earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and my teaching certificate.  Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.

I spent the first 9 years of my teaching career in environmental education where I learned the value of taking children's learning beyond the classroom.  I am proud to have called Mitchell my home since 2008, where I have taught both 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade.  I am passionate about teaching children to inquire about the world around them and to seek answers to their questions.

When I'm not teaching, you will find me exploring natural areas, hiking, biking, and kayaking.  My husband and I live in Dexter with our son, who is teaching me to see the world anew with childlike curiosity!
