Hello,

I am so excited to be a part of the Bryant Elementary family! This is my 6th school year working with elementary aged children in the school setting. I love being able to work alongside children, staff, and families as children develop socio-emotional skills that allow them to be successful within the academic enviornment.

I have obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan where I focused on Interpersonal Practice with Children and Youth while earning my School Social Work certification. After completing my degree, I worked in foster care and adoption case management in Southeast Michigan. During my time in foster care and adoption, I gained specialized experience with children and families facing adversity and overcoming traumatic life experiences. I then transitioned in to school social work, gaining clinical and systemic experience working with elementary aged children; coaching and advocating on their behalf in order to experience social and academic success. After settling into the school setting, I entered into the realm of providing psychotherapy through private practice to children and families in addition to school social work. 

All of my experiences have helped show me that all children want to experiencing safety and belonging. My goal as a school social worker is to help children to develop the tools and strategies needed to experience these things through self-advocay, positive social interactions, and development of self-control and self-worth.
